November 13, 2007 - 9:39 pm | Category: Kia Rio davelal9

Warranty Review

The Kia Rio basic warranty offers 2 years / 24,000 miles more coverage than the Toyota Yaris and 5 years / 40,000 miles more power train coverage. In addition to a better warranty, the Rio also comes with 24 hour road side assistance for 5 years and 60,000 miles, with the Yaris you have to pay extra for this coverage.

Style Review

The Kia Rio has both a sedan and hatchback model while the Toyota Yaris has only a sedan model. In addition, 16-inch alloy wheels are available with the Kia, while the Toyota only offers 15-inch steal wheels. No matter how you dress it up, the Rio looks better than the Yaris.

Power Review

The Kia Rio has a larger engine, more horsepower, and more torque than the Toyota Yaris. Both offer similar highway gas mileage, 38 mpg for the Rio and 39 mpg for the Yaris.

Roominess Review

The Rio offers more passenger room, more cargo room, and more storeage than the Yaris, allot more.

Standard Equipment Review

Every Rio comes with Hieght Adjustable Front Seatbelt Anchors, Tachometer, Auto-Off Headlights, Center Console, and a Rear Window Defroster. These features are either not available with the Yaris, or they cost extra.

Optional Equipment Review

In addition, the Kia Rio offers features not available with the Toyota Yaris such as Engine Sensitive Power Steering, Variable Intermittent Front Wipers, and Power Heated Outside Mirrors. If you live in a northern state, the heated mirrors are awesome during the winter time.

Review Summary

The Rio offers two sporty better looking model designs, is more roomy, has a more powerful engine, and has a much, much, better warranty than the Yaris. Smart people all across America are choosing the Kia Rio over the Toyota Yaris.
