“These models prove that a car doesn’t have to be a top seller or a top scorer to be a sensible choice and a good value.” - Consumer Reports
Kia Rondo and Optima 2 of 4 vehicles mentioned
In a recent article titled “Most overlooked cars”, Consumer Reports magazine lists 4 vehicles that it considers sleepers when it comes to making a buying decision.
Kia Rondo
Although the Rondo is not a “recommended” vehicle, the main reason for this is that it is a new vehicle and CR does not have sufficient reliability data to give it this rating. Consumer Reports states, “The high seating position makes visibility excellent and access very easy. A quiet interior and comfortable ride make you feel like you’re in a bigger car.” The magazine goes on to describe the standard stability control as well as side curtain airbags. CR sums up the Rondo as a “good, practical value”.
Kia Optima
Consumer Reports focuses on the Optima’s stability control that makes handling “very secure and forgiving.” CR also lists the interior as a big plus; “Its cabin is well-crafted and has a roomy rear seat.”
