This weekend will mark the first ever Kia Motors Super Bowl commercial which will air during the third quarter

At Summit Place Kia in metro Detroit, we are looking forward to this weekend’s Super Bowl game, but not for the usual reasons. It turns out that this Sunday’s television broadcast of Super Bowl XLIV will also feature the first-ever commercial from Kia Motors.
What happens in Vegas
Kia’s latest commercial was created by David&Goliath, the same agency responsible for producing the very popular Kia Soul “Hamster” ads. The commercial will appear in the third quarter of the game and draw attention to the new 2011 Kia Sorento CUV.
Christened “Joyride”, the commercial will headline a cast of larger-than-life toys, including Munro (from the Nick Jr. show Yo Gabba Gabba), MR. X Boogaloo (from the Blabla dolls), a Robot (that first appeared at this year’s Detroit Auto Show) and a life-size Sock Monkey and Teddy Bear. The commercial follows this company on a road trip as they make their way from exploding bowling pins in a bowling alley, riding a mechanical bull and performing stunts on jet skis to their adventures in a tattoo parlor and a hot tub in the mountains.
The next stop for our odd quintet is Las Vegas, where they gamble, flirt with the ladies and shake it on the dance floor to the commercial’s soundtrack “How You Like Me Now” by The Heavy.
Following this, the road trip is suddenly cut short when it turns out that the characters are actually toys sitting in the back seat of a new 2011 Kia Sorento.
